I think I would give this book 4.5* for its descriptiveness - Shana Abe describes things in such a rich way that it brings them to life.
However, I felt that there were parts of the mysteries surrounding the drakons that hadnt been quite thought through properly/didnt quite add up. It would also have been nice to have a bit more development of characters other than the main hero and heroine. So I would probably have said I enjoyed these elements but they were not amazing - so I would give the book a 3.5* if I could give 0.5 points.
I am looking forward to reading more about Zane in the future - I was definitely left with the impression that he is not quite what he seems...
Overall though a fun story-line and I think I would read more in the series.
